Dave graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Masters of Business Administration, from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Education, and from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He takes pride in developing clients’ mental capacity, and he encourages self-confidence to overcome any obstacle and achieve personal excellence. Dave has a wide variety of practical experience relating to fitness, on-ice skill development, and athletic development. He also has an optimistic outlook on life and promotes a challenging, educational, and fun atmosphere for all clients. Away from DEPTH, Dave not only enjoys running, playing recreational sports, and spending time with family and friends, but he also enjoys experimenting with different training methods and reading about coaching, training, and business.
Justin graduated from Queen’s University with a Masters of Physical Therapy and from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Justin has obtained a variety of certifications since graduation, including AFCI Acupuncture, Active Release Technique (ART) Lower Extremity, and OHA Development 1 Coaching. He is also certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and Precision Nutrition Coach. Justin brings both practical knowledge and a scientific approach to the DEPTH Training team to ensure his athletes and clients are well trained, both physically and mentally. Justin emphasizes dynamic movement techniques with the proper execution of strength and power exercises, to develop efficient athletes capable of high level performance while minimizing injury risk. Away from DEPTH, Justin enjoys reading about training, rehab, and nutrition, spending quality time with the important people in his life, and finding ways to challenge his boundaries and stimulate personal growth.
Mike graduated from Queen’s University with a Masters of Physical Therapy and from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. Mike has completed several courses since graduation, including Concussion Management, Manual Therapy, Active Release Technique, and Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Certification from McMaster University. His approach to treatment incorporates the use of Manual Therapy, specialized exercise, Active Release Techniques (ART), and Contemporary Medical Acupuncture. Mike has worked extensively with amateur and elite athletes, including NHL, AHL, OHL, and other professional leagues. With an understanding of the functional demands of hockey and training, Mike uses his physiotherapy approach to restore adaptive potential, reduce the risk of injury, and maximize athletic performance. Away from DEPTH, Mike enjoys travelling, personal finance, and spending quality time with his wife, kids and Labrador retriever.
Neil graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and has completed his High School Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification with the International Youth Conditioning Association. Neil incorporates a high-energy coaching style into his training sessions to help his athletes push their boundaries and achieve their goals. In his own personal workouts, Neil incorporates many of the foundational training methods implemented by DEPTH athletes while experimenting with drills that help to improve athletic performance. Away from DEPTH, Neil is a former CIS soccer player for the University of Waterloo and still enjoys playing soccer and attending TFC games.
Sean graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Physical Therapy and from Brock University with a Bachelors of Kinesiology. Sean further obtained his advanced diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy, becoming a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT), an internationally recognized qualification in hands-on therapy. Sean’s treatment approach incorporates the use of manual therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue release, and therapeutic exercise in order help his clients achieve their goals. He has a special interest in working with Crossfit athletes helping improve their performance and return to exercise pain free. Away from Depth, Sean can be found in a Crossfit gym or in nature with his wife and basset hound.
Samantha graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Communication Studies. She started coming to DEPTH as a part of a server challenge and fell in love with the atmosphere. Sam started to find enjoyment in physical activity and pushed herself to her limits! She enjoys the group dynamic of class based workouts to have other people cheer you on, and build friendships along the way. When Sam is away from DEPTH you can find her with her dogs, going on hikes, playing volleyball and spending time catching up with her family.
Lindsay is a dedicated professional with a background in Recreation and Leisure Studies and Event Management from Conestoga College. Growing up in Waterloo, she developed a deep passion for sports, competing in both softball and hockey from a young age and continuing through college. Her love for sports remains a core part of her identity and interests. When she’s not at DEPTH, Lindsay enjoys a variety of activities that keep her active and connected with her interests. She loves taking her dog for long walks, indulging in her passion for cooking, and staying engaged in sports through volleyball and slo-pitch. Lindsay also finds joy in golfing and appreciates the simple pleasure of sitting around the campfire with family and friends.
Nathan Farrish is a holistic strength, nutrition, and mobility coach with substantial experience in private and group fitness coaching.
Nate actually began his career with Depth in 2015 while completing his Kinesiology undergrad at Laurier, and is stoked to return to the community he called home for 7 years!
In 2019, he ventured into the corporate world with Indeed.ca. Having learned the challenges of desk work, he founded an online training company, Ripple & Surge, to coach other corporate desk workers.
Nate then moved to Vancouver in 2021, and has continued to teach group fitness classes at Kin Culture, while also working for Trainerize, a personal training software used by millions of people worldwide.
Nate is beyond excited to be back at Depth as the Personal Fitness Manager and Senior Coach.
His approach to coaching (and life) is underscored by balance. Expect to be challenged appropriately, uplifted with quality dad jokes and a welcoming energy, and educated thoroughly (he loves to geek out). He understands how to balance training with the demands of life, and will always take a supportive stance as your coach.
Nate is also deeply passionate about community-led growth. You’ll find him at a run club, attending creative events like dancing, missing shots on his soccer team, or facilitating chair yoga for stroke survivors.

Mitchell graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Kinesiology and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist. Since then he has continued his learning through a number of certifications including precision nutrition and functional range conditioning. As a trainer, Mitch collaborates with his clients and athletes to create an action plan and helps them work towards their personal goals. He believes in a balanced approach and takes into account lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress, nutrition and exercise. Mitch also volunteers as a strength and conditioning coach for the women’s hockey and men’s soccer teams at the University of Guelph. In his free time Mitch enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, skiing, hiking and he is currently training for long distance trail running races.
Gabbie graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Health Sciences. Gabbie believes her role as a personal trainer is to give people the tools they need to succeed in reaching their personal goals. In her own personal workouts, Gabbie enjoys picking up heavy things and then putting them back down, while incorporating a good sweat session every now and again for good measure. Away from DEPTH, Gabbie enjoys watching Netflix and hanging out with her dog.
Ben graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Ben has developed a deep appreciation and passion for fitness that began many years ago when he first became a member of DEPTH Training as a 10-year-old athlete. Regardless of whether Ben was attending a conditioning workout as a student of Wilfrid Laurier, or running a training session as a coach, being a part of DEPTH has taught Ben the value of performance training and fitness, both inside and outside of the gym. Ben believes in resiliency, in being understanding without ever accepting failure, and pushing yourself to limits you never thought you could reach. Away from DEPTH, Ben plays for Wilfrid Laurier’s varsity rugby team and for Waterloo County’s Rugby Football Club. He also enjoys visiting St. Jacobs Farmers Market, cooking, and lounging outside in the sun with his dog Harvey.
Andrew graduated from McMaster University with a Masters of Physiotherapy (2013) and from The University of Western Ontario with a Bachelors of Arts in Kinesiology (2010). Andrew completed several post-graduate courses including: Jr. & Sr. Sports Physiotherapy Fellowships at the Fowler-Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic, Manual Therapy, Sport Rehabilitation, Concussion Management & Rehabilitation, and Functional Dry Needling. Andrew’s worked with local, amateur and professional sports organizations – Waterloo Siskins Jr. B Hockey (2018-19, 2019-2020), Hockey Canada U18 Women’s Team (2017), OHL’s London Knights (2016-17), Western University’s Varsity Football Team (2015-16), AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs (Montreal Canadiens’ affiliate) (2013-15). Andrew’s works extensively with age level, U-Sport, NCAA, NLL, OHL, AHL and NHL athletes during their season and respective off-seasons but enjoys working with all levels of active individuals. He uses a variety methods focussing on a functional, biomechanical, and patient-centered approach. Away from DEPTH, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family; playing with his dog, Kona; travelling; hiking; and recently fell in love with triathlon, having completed several Ironman 70.3 races.
Heather graduated from Queen Margaret University with a Masters of Physiotherapy, after completing a Bachelor of Honours Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo.
Heather has an extensive knowledge of acute and chronic concussion rehabilitation through many post graduate courses, including vestibular (inner ear) rehabilitation. Whether returning to sport or daily life, Heather takes a functional approach to concussion rehabilitation. Complete concussion recovery goes well beyond symptom resolution, and Heather aims to provide multifaceted approach that meets your goals.
Beyond concussions, Heather enjoys treating injuries from head to toe. She has continued her education in acupuncture, manual therapy and kinesiology taping. In addition, she holds certifications through Bone-Fit and GLA:D Canada for the management of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.
Heather’s treatment techniques include soft tissue release, exercise prescription, manual therapy, acupuncture, vestibular therapy, and patient education.
As a former varsity distance runner, Heather enjoys running, skiing, travelling, and exploring new hiking trails with her husband and labrador named Skye.
Michael Egan is a seasoned fitness professional with a rich history in sports and a decade-long dedication to personal training, management, and sales. With a sporting journey that spans from his days as a competitive hockey goaltender in the late ’90s to his recent endeavours in the world of Competitive CrossFit, Michael has cultivated a deep understanding of physical excellence and perseverance. He excelled in the Pro Natural bodybuilding circuit and achieved national-level recognition as a 93kg powerlifter from 2016 to 2019. Beyond his athletic accomplishments, Michael is a lifelong learner, accumulating nearly 20 certifications and seminars, embodying his belief that he is continually a student of the fitness game. His unique qualities of loyalty, humour, unwavering drive to deliver results, and a commitment to building trust and togetherness with his clients define his approach. In everything he does, Michael operates with honesty, integrity, and an appreciation for the individuals he works with, making him an invaluable asset to the fitness community.
In addition to his passion for fitness, Mike enjoys a diverse range of hobbies, including reading, podcasting, playing the guitar, singing in the shower, and meticulously styling his hair. With a genuine commitment to helping people achieve their fitness goals, a natural gift for humour to uplift spirits, and an unshakable dedication to honesty and integrity, Michael is not only a fitness expert but a beacon of inspiration for those seeking to lead healthier, happier lives. His journey from a young hockey enthusiast to a seasoned fitness professional serves as a testament to his unwavering commitment to personal growth, and he continues to leave a lasting impact on the lives of those he guides on their fitness journeys.
Sam graduated from the bilingual program at the University of Ottawa with a Masters of Health Science in Physiotherapy, and previously from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelors of Arts in Kinesiology and Physical Education. Her treatment approach includes manual therapy, Functional Dry Needling, and soft tissue techniques, reinforced with exercise tailored to your specific goals, and emphasizes proper technique and functional movements. She has taken continued education course on Functional Dry Needling (FDN 1), Concussion Management, gymnast specific injury management, manual therapy (Orthopaedic division level 1), and others. In addition to her clinical work, she is a Physiotherapist for Team Canada Cheerleading , and does sports coverage for sporting events as a First Responder. She has a special interest in treating artistic athletes such as gymnasts, cheerleaders, dancers, and circus athletes. She fell in love with the profession through her own experience in athletic rehabilitation while participating in competitive gymnastics and international level cheerleading. She also participated recreationally in sports such as soccer and swimming. Sam’s goal with her clients is to keep them performing at their best and on track for all their athletic and personal goals. She also hopes to better serve the Franco-Ontarian community in the Waterloo Region by providing access French health care. Away from Depth, Sam enjoys progressing her functional fitness, travelling, cooking, and hanging out with her giant dog.
Matt graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Sport Management in 2016. Since then, he has taken a number of courses to add to his skill set for a better client experience – from Precision Nutrition Level 1 to becoming a USA Weightlifting certified Coach in 2021 just to name a few. Matt also became a Fascial Stretch Therapist with the Stretch to Win Institute in 2018, and now holds his Level 2 certification with them as a practitioner. Between the two avenues of working with clients, Matt has accumulated over 7,000 in-person training hours and over 800 FST hours in clinic also. As a trainer and Fascial Stretch Therapist, Matt looks to work with clients as a team in order to ensure they are not only achieving their goals in the gym or improving mobility through FST, but also creating sustainable lifestyle habits that will last a lifetime and keep their body performing optimally. In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, watching sports, walking, and competing in powerlifting competitions all across Ontario.
Connor graduated from Conestoga College with a diploma in Pre-Health Sciences and proceeded to obtain his Bachelors from Wilfrid Laurier University in Health Studies. Following his time at Wilfrid Laurier, he pursued his Diploma in Massage Therapy from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy and Westervelt College. To date, Connor has continued to further his education through courses in Muscle Energy Techniques, Myofascial Treatments, and Concussion Management Programs. He believes in an active, hands-on manual approach to therapy while working in a dynamic setting, and supplementing patient experiences with exercises for homecare and co-treating with other therapists at DEPTH. Connor strongly believes that education for clients is one of the best ways to assist in the rehabilitation process, and ensures clients are fully understanding of their treatments, plans, and goals. Connor has experience treating patients seeking sports massage and concussion and rehabilitation, as well as clients who need deep tissue and fascial work. Connor has also spent time treating at Cycling Canada events where he treated athletes and cyclists for pre/post-race rehab at the Canadian Track Championship series. Away from DEPTH, you can find Connor as a power skating instructor, hiking, golfing, and riding his motorcycle.
Alexa graduated from Queen’s University with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy, after completing a Bachelor of Science with honours in Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor. She has completed several courses since graduating. She is certified in AN-IMS dry needling and has continued education in acupuncture and manual therapy. Alexa played travel hockey for many years which has encouraged a special interest in treating athletes of all kinds. She has personal experience in the rehabilitation process and takes special interest in knee injuries. During her career, Alexa has worked with many athletes varying from recreational to elite levels. Some of her team coverage has included travel soccer, gymnastics, and football. Alexa’s treatment style incorporates specialized exercises, manual therapy, dry needling, and education in order to help her clients achieve their goals. Whether its taking control of their health and fitness, returning to sport, or improving their performance, Alexa takes a patient-centred approach in developing a treatment plan with her clients.
Away from Depth, Alexa enjoys rock climbing, snowboarding, hiking, cooking and football Sundays.
Bronwyn graduated from the University of Calgary with a degree in Kinesiology. While there, she played varsity hockey for the U of C Dinos where she won a National Championship. Since 2011, Bronwyn has spent her off-seasons training with Neil and Justin, which inspired her to make the transition from athlete to coach. She is passionate about helping athletes to set their goals, push their limits and achieve success when it’s time to compete. Bronwyn employs the same approach with each of her personal fitness clients — everyone can train like an athlete! She loves to work with athletes of all experience levels, from beginner to expert, to improve their overall fitness, strength, confidence and health. Bronwyn spends her time running, swimming and lifting weights and enjoys (almost) every second of it. Outside of the gym, she runs a dog rescue program and is currently applying to medical school.
Mitch grew up in Waterloo where he graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science (Honours Kinesiology) and a minor in Sports Rehabilitation. After University, Mitch continued his education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic. Mitch is certified in Integrated Needling, Nutrition (Level 1 Precision Nutrition certified coach) and Strength and Conditioning (CSCS). Mitch develops individualized treatment plans that include educating his clients on how they can manage pain, increase physical activity and get back doing the things they love! Encompassed in his treatment plans he uses rehab & strengthening exercises, manual therapy, soft tissue release and joint manipulations. Mitch has a special interest in working with athletes as he has had a passion for sports from a young age where he played hockey, rugby and golf. He enjoys helping both athletes and the general population improve their performance, as well as aid in them reaching their overall health and fitness related goals. Outside of Depth, Mitch enjoys the never ending ups and downs of being a Toronto Maple Leaf fan, being outdoors and spending time with his friends, family and his dog Pepper.
Braedon is a personal trainer who is passionate about helping people reach their fitness goals. He has experience doing 1 on 1 personal training, leading group fitness classes, and training athletes. Braedon is a graduate of the Fitness and Health Promotion program at Conestoga College and utilizes his education to assist people in pursuing healthier lifestyles. He finds fulfillment in educating people and supporting them to become stronger and more confident versions of themselves. In his spare time Braedon enjoys spending time with family and friends, and walking his dog.
Alex graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelors of Science and Kinesiology Degree. She is also a certified strength and conditioning coach. She believes that fitness should be a major part of a healthy balanced lifestyle and is for anyone of any age or skill level. Alex captained the women varsity rugby at the University of Waterloo. She grew up playing competitive hockey and softball. In her free time she loves spending time outdoors with her friends, family, and her puppy Freya.
Chelsea graduated from the Fitness and Health Promotion Program at Conestoga College. She is a certified Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor and eager to continually educating herself. She grew up as a competitive dancer for 15 years and is very passionate about movement in all capacities. Chelsea believes that we are all connected through movement no matter the age or skill level. YOU have to believe that YOU can do hard things, and that begins with making the choice to start. Away from DEPTH Chelsea enjoys, running, golfing, canoeing at the cottage and of course as a trained chef…trying new recipes!
Sarah graduated from Queen’s University with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy, after completing an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from Brock University. She developed her passion for physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation through her own experiences growing up playing soccer, as an athletic trainer for the U22 Elite Kingston Jr. team, and working alongside sport physiotherapists at Brock University as a student athletic therapist. Sarah’s focus with her clients is to promote recovery through functional movement, manual therapy, and education while providing clients with the tools and knowledge to perform at their best and achieve their personal goals. She is passionate about proactive care to help identify abnormal movement patterns to reduce future injury. Aside from Physiotherapy, Sarah enjoys coaching youth soccer, strength training, baking for others, getting outdoors, and watching the Cincinnati Bengals during the football season.
Kelly graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education. While attending WLU, Kelly played on the varsity women’s rugby team for five seasons. After graduating from University, Kelly worked and travelled for a few years before deciding to go back to school where she obtained a diploma in Massage Therapy from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. Kelly has experience treating a variety of conditions in a variety of settings. Techniques include general Swedish massage, trigger point therapies, deep tissue massage, PNF stretching, joint mobilizations, fascial release, and remedial exercise. Kelly has always been involved in sports as a player or coach and understands the importance of living a healthy active lifestyle. She creates a positive, encouraging and educational environment to help clients get back to doing the activities they love. Outside of massage Kelly enjoys the outdoors, reading, staying active, and hanging out with friends and family.
Natiely graduated from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in 2014. She is currently focusing her practicum in sports massage, but enjoys working with all clientele that have specific needs and goals. She is attending the Canadian College of Osteopathy as a second year student.
Techniques provided: General Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage/Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Remedial Stretching and Joint Mobilizations. Natiely will be further continuing her education and expanding treatment styles.
Alongside her passion for massage, she enjoys field hockey and fell in love with the physical/mental aspect of boxing and other combat sports. During this time, she learned to appreciate the importance of maintaining a healthy mind and body through teamwork and perseverance. Natiely, a fitness boxer herself, has worked with many boxers at the National level.
Jordyn graduated from Western University with a Masters in Physical Therapy after graduating with a Honours Bachelors of Science in Human Kinetics and Neuroscience from the University of Guelph. Growing up, she underwent various rehabilitation journeys during her time in competitive soccer and volleyball. These experiences sparked her desire to delve into the intricacies of the human body, leading her to pursue a career in physiotherapy. Jordyn’s foundational aspiration is to utilize her knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Throughout her time at Western, she developed a passion for pelvic health and believes in the profound impact it can have on overall well-being. She has completed additional training in the assessment and rehabilitation of various pelvic floor conditions and is dedicated to helping her patients achieve their specific goals through an individualized and holistic approach to patient care.
Beyond pelvic health, Jordyn enjoys treating pediatric patients by integrating play and movement to help build strength, coordination and confidence in little ones. Her goal is to establish a collaborative relationship with both the family and children, fostering a supportive environment for the child’s growth and the attainment of developmental milestones.
Her holistic treatment approach centers around equipping every patient with the information and resources necessary to be actively engaged in their path to recovery and foster sustained health and well-being.
When Jordyn’s not at Depth, you can find her in the gym, on the ski hill, or curled up on the couch crocheting.
Tiegan graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters in Physical Therapy, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Ball State University. She is a former varsity golfer and has a special interest in treating golf-related injuries. Tiegan hopes to be able to help her patients feel their best by creating individually tailored programs to help them recover from injury, safely return to sport, and reduce their risk of future injuries. Her treatment approach includes a combination of manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, and therapeutic exercise prescription. Away from Depth, Tiegan enjoys going to the gym, hiking, reading, and exploring new coffee shops.
Katie Mitchell is a Registered Physiotherapist and Certified Athletic Therapist, with a decade of experience providing clinical care, education, and consulting for management of concussion and musculoskeletal injuries in sport and activity. She completed her PhD at Wilfrid Laurier University, with a focus in motor control and concussion recovery, and is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Centre for Sport-Related Concussion, Innovation, and Knowledge at the University of Toronto. Katie is also a member of the Concussion in Para Sport (CIPS) group and an Associate Editor for the BMJ Open Sport and Exercise Medicine journal. She has published in academic journals and presented at several conferences, including the IOC World Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport and the Consensus Meeting on Concussion in Sport. As medical staff, Katie has been involved with high performance sports, including Rugby Canada and Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS), and has attended major games including the Toronto 2015 Parapan Am Games and para hockey national championships. Currently, she is the Lead Team Therapist for the Canadian Women’s National Para Ice Hockey Team.
Kerri graduated from the University of Guelph-Humber with a degree in Kinesiology and diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion. Kerri continued her education at the University of Ottawa for a Master’s of Human Kinetics with a focus on Intervention and Consultation. She believes in a balanced approach to life that includes workouts, eating right and having fun. Kerri finds it’s important to work on the physical, nutritional and mental aspects with each client. She enjoys high intensity workouts for both strength and endurance, especially the workouts that include prowlers, kettlebells and battling ropes. In her free time, Kerri enjoys travelling around the world, cooking and trying new sports. She currently plays hockey in the winter and golfs in the summer.
Tyler graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts In Kinesiology, he followed that up with a graduate degree from Niagara College in Exercise Science for Health and Performance. Tyler is a certified strength and conditioning coach, with certifications from the NSCA and CSEP. As an athlete growing up, participating in different sports such as basketball, track and field, football, and baseball all through out high school, he has a great appreciation for how important training is for athlete’s careers especially the youth athlete. Tyler understands that training is not only crucial for an athletes physical development, but can teach a lot of other lessons as well such as patience, resiliency, and forcing ones self to be uncomfortable. At Wilfrid Laurier University Tyler played football, where he played receiver, and developed a greater appreciation for the athletic and academic balanced needed at the next level. He believes that even outside of sport living a healthy lifestyle is extremely important. Even if you were not an athlete growing up, living a healthy lifestyle can be extremity beneficial to everyone’s way of life. In his free time Tyler loves to train, treating himself to ice cream, and playing video games.
Alison joined the Depth team to blend three things she loves: fitness, teaching, and working with people with disabilities. What began as coaching people with disabilities has grown to group strength training classes with a focus on mobility, form, and making every rep count. Alison has a certificate in Stress Resiliency from CanFitPro. A runner, cyclist, and all round fitness enthusiast, Alison brings a heap of energy to the Depth team. Inspired by the resilience she sees in the people around her, Alison believes whatever the problem, fitness always seems to be a part of the answer.
Lisa graduated from Dalhousie University with a degree in Physical Education and Education. Her interest in physical movement and fitness has been a lifelong interest. After she had her first child she found yoga. She now has over 1000 hours of yoga teacher certification which is the highest designation as a yoga instructor. She is in the final phase of completing a designation as a Yoga Therapist. Yoga Therapy is built around determining where people are physically/mentally, building a connection and helping them move and feel better in their bodies. She finds a lot of enjoyment working with individuals one on one. Lisa is an ACE certified Personal Trainer, Precision Nutrition Level 1 coach and a Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) practitioner. Specific to yoga, she is a vinyasa flow yoga teacher, trained in therapeutic yoga, restorative yoga, yin yoga, meditation and breath work. She is a mother of four and has first hand experience in pre and post natal yoga and movement. Lisa most recently completed Sherpa Breath and Cold training, facilitating people through breath work, sauna and cold immersion. Over the years she has completed half marathons, road races, bike races and triathlons, including a Half Ironman in one of her favourite places, Muskoka. When she is not at her cottage, Lisa loves to paddle, hike, travel, spend time with her husband Brian, their four daughters and their dog Miley.
Talia graduated from Conestoga College with a diploma in the Pre- Service Firefighter Education and Training Program. Talia’s passion is to pursue a career in Firefighting within our community. Her 10 years of competitive dance and numerous podium finishes matched with her future aspirations have helped develop her passion for fitness as well as inspiring her to push herself in her personal training. When Talia is away from DEPTH she enjoys volunteering within the community, spending time with her family, friends and dogs.
Spencer graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology. After graduating, Spencer got his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Three years later he decided to go back to the University of Waterloo for his Masters of Kinesiology degree, with a focus on Movement and Exercise Science to further his understanding of the human body and movement. As an athlete growing up, Spencer participated in many different sports including football, soccer, baseball, basketball, track and field, and snow sports. Spencer’s passion for performance and injury reduction started with having great coaching staff while playing high school sports, teaching him the value of hard work, smart training, and the relentless pursuit of your goals in and out of sports. He believes that strength training is something for everybody, no matter your starting point or goals, and that there is a way to make fitness work for every individual. Away from Depth, Spencer enjoys travelling, spending time outdoors, hiking, snowboarding, and finding new places with great pastries.
Growing up in Waterloo, my passion for sports started early, playing outside and building lifelong friendships through various athletic activities. Over the years, I’ve channeled that passion into optimizing athletic performance, specializing in unlocking each athlete’s full potential. At Depth Training, I’m driven to support individuals of all levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes, who are eager to elevate their game and achieve their goals. My focus is not only on physical training but on cultivating a mindset that embraces growth and resilience.

Natasha is a student at the University of Waterloo currently completing her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Prior to this, she attended North Country Community College for one year where she attended the Math Science program and played on the women’s soccer and lacrosse teams. She has been a part of the Strength and Conditioning program at the University of Waterloo for three years where she has worked with many teams, soon overtaking the women’s field hockey team and now the men’s volleyball team as their strength and conditioning coach. Natasha has been around Depth for the past 8 years working with some of the trainers and physiotherapists who have helped aid her back to health through many injuries including three knee surgeries, teaching her the importance of mental health and strength it takes to compete and keep the body healthy for sport. These situations have pushed her interest in strength and
conditioning as well as injury prevention and management through exercise. Away from the strength and conditioning world, Natasha enjoys traveling, being outdoors and spending time with her dogs!
Physical health, mental health and fitness have always been something important to Lauren since childhood. As a kid, Lauren participated in competitive dance and was at the studio almost everyday of the week. Lauren practiced competitive dance from the time she was a young child until she was a teenager, attending the studio nearly every day of the week. Lauren continues to spend her free time writing songs, meditating, and practicing her yoga skills. She is currently working at Depth Training & Physiotherapy, along with a home for adults with disabilities in Elmira. She continues to learn new things about her mental and physical health daily, either at the gym or at the home.
Emily, a University of Waterloo graduate in Recreation and Leisure Studies with an event management minor, combines academic prowess with a lifelong love for sports. Growing up in the KW area, Emily explored various sports, cultivating a deep passion for soccer and hockey. Throughout Emily’s undergrad, she played for the University of Waterloo soccer team while exploring different avenues in sports like coaching and working in sports marketing. Currently, she serves as the Marketing Coordinator for the university’s athletics department, excelling in varsity events, social media, ticketing, and community outreach over the past three seasons. Emily’s unwavering passion for sports and community shines through, as she eagerly brings her expertise to the wider DEPTH community. Emily is an advocate for balanced living and following what you love. Emily continues to share her passions in her free time as she continues to play soccer, train for half marathons, and enjoy all of the activities that life has to offer.
Evelyn is currently in her final year at Western University, completing her teachers’ college program with a focus on becoming an elementary school teacher. She is passionate about inspiring young minds and fostering a love for learning. Growing up, she played various sports, but hockey became her main focus for 15 years. Evelyn’s love for sports and commitment to healthy daily movement drives her to promote active, balanced lifestyles both in the classroom and beyond.
